A love letter to Grenada

As the sun dances on your pristine beaches and the Caribbean breeze whispers tales of your colonial and modern history, my heart swells with love for you, my beloved Grenada. With your jubilee of independence fast approaching, I find myself compelled to express my deep admiration for all that you are, have been, and aspire to be.

The colonial history, woven by the hands of so call European explorers, and the British Empire, is a testament to the rich mosaic of cultures that have shaped you. The echoes of this history can be heard in the laughter of your people, the vibrant colours of your landscape, and the warmth and hospitality of your people.  Your story, Grenada, is a tapestry woven with threads of resilience and fortitude. The echoes of hurricanes Janet in 1955 and Ivan in 2004 still resonate, a testament to your unwavering spirit in the face of adversity. You emerged from these tempests stronger, reminding us that storms are but temporary shadows in the grand narrative of your indomitable spirit.

Your story doesn’t stop there, dear Grenada. The Revolution on March 13, 1979, was a pivotal moment in your history, a time when you dared to dream of a brighter future.
